The Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark provides notarial services to individuals currently residing in Denmark who need to legalize their documents, such as affidavits, powers of attorney, deeds, contracts, and agreements, which are intended for use in the Philippines.

The Embassy cannot assist applicants in drafting legal documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, agreements and deeds. Embassy personnel also cannot act as witnesses in these documents.
Many of the documents require apostille or legalization of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Click here to avail of their apostille services.

BEFORE APPLICATION:

  1. PREPARE REQUIREMENTS AND GET AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT. Prepare soft files of your required IDs and documents according to the type of notarial service you seek, and a duly accomplished application form to upload to the Embassy website to get an appointment. An online appointment is required and confirmed only when you have uploaded the complete requirements on the website.

  1. WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS. Once your documents have been submitted and assessed, you will receive a confirmation for your appointment and payment instructions for your requested services.
  2. ESCORTS ARE NOT ALLOWED within the premises of the Embassy.
  3. INFORM THE EMBASSY IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL AND RESCHEDULE your appointment.

DURING APPLICATION:

  1. PERSONAL APPEARANCE IS REQUIRED. Personal appearance of all signing individuals are required.
  2. BRING ALL ORIGINALS AND PHOTOCOPIES OF YOUR REQUIREMENTS TO THE EMBASSY. Bring original and complete photocopies of required IDs and documents, together with the duly accomplished affidavit or power of attorney form. The Embassy does not provide printing and photocopying services. Only complete documents will be processed and released during your appointment time.
  3. DRESS APPROPRIATELY. Wear decent clothing when you come to the Embassy.

GENERAL PROCEDURE IN THE CONSULAR SECTION


STEP 1. Applicant’s names will be called during their appointed time.
STEP 2. Applicant submits original and photocopies of required IDs and documents, and a duly accomplished affidavit or power of attorney form and presents confirmation of his/her payment.
STEP 3. Applicant checks the information on the issued Acknowledgment, Jurat, Certification, or Authentication, receives the document and receipt.

AFTER PASSPORT APPLICATION:

  1. CERTIFICATE VALIDITY. The validity of the Acknowledgment, Jurat and Certifications shall follow the validity of the attached document.
  2. CERTIFICATE CANNOT BE ALTERED. The Acknowledgment, Jurat and Certifications issued to you ceases to be valid if altered in any way.
  3. CHECK ENTRIES OF THE CERTIFICATE/FORM. Check all details on issued Acknowledgment, Jurat and Certifications. Kindly inform the Embassy of incorrect entries in your document immediately.
  4. The Philippine Embassy assumes no responsibility for the contents of the annexed documents.
