12 May 2025, Copenhagen. The Philippine Embassy in Denmark successfully rolled out the first online voting and counting system (OVCS) for overseas Filipino registered voters in Denmark, Faroe Islands, and Greenland from 13 April to 12 May 2025.

The Embassy’s officers and staff, deputized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), served as members of its electoral boards, namely, the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC), the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), and the Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG), to conduct election-related duties with regular operations, for thirty (30) consecutive days, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

32.97% or three hundred ninety-nine (399) of the 1,210 overseas Filipino registered voters in Denmark, Faroe Islands, and Greenland participated in the 2025 national elections.

Philippine Ambassador Leo M. Herrera-Lim expresses his appreciation to the Filipino community for casting their votes electronically through the new mode of voting, and calls for the community’s increased support in harnessing the advantages of online voting in the presidential and national elections to come.
