25 April 2025, Copenhagen. As part of the celebration of the National Food Month, the Philippine Embassy in Denmark successfully conducted the 1st Pinoy Adobo Workshop, one of its flagship projects this year, on 25 April 2025 in Valby (Copenhagen). Danish and Filipino nationals participated in the workshop-turned-masterclass, where they “shopped” for ingredients, prepped, cooked, and served their respective adobo dishes. The event giveaways and several ingredients were sponsored by Heuschen & Schrouff, the biggest importer of Filipino food products in Europe.

Ching Legaspi, a professional Filipino chef based in Denmark with 36 years of experience, facilitated the workshop. Participants were divided into 5 groups with 5 members each, and each group was given a different adobo recipe, in particular: (1) Adobong Puti - Pampanga; (2) Adobong Dilaw - Batangas; (3) Adobong Pula - Iloilo; (4) Adobong Bicol; and (5) Adobo sa Tuba. After the workshop, participants and event observers were given the opportunity to taste and compare all the adobo dishes paired with rice. The fan favorites were the “Adobong Pula” and “Adobo sa Tuba.”
