25 September 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Denmark joined six (6) Filipino-Danish retirees, in a seminar conducted by the Peder Lykke Centre, the first diversity retirement and nursing home in Denmark, located in the City of Copenhagen that caters to residents from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.


Photo PederLykke webSince the late 1960s, the Centre has been a meeting point for the residents of the nursing home and the collective house as well as the elderly citizens in the local area. Today, the centre has expanded to include a day school, library, hairdressing salon, medical clinic, mini market and much more. The new facilities all contribute to making it possible for residents, users and members to live life to the fullest.

With more than 400 employees from 24 countries, speaking 15 different languages including Filipino, the centre’s employees cover a wide range of professional groups and professional areas.

To date, the nursing home has served more than 20 Filipinos. It is now home to 42 residents with 20% foreigners. Its day school is attended by 300 members while the activity center has over 200 users. END.
