Copenhagen, 30 January 2023 - Copenhagen Energy (CE) shared updates with the PH Embassy on the development of three (3) offshore wind projects in PH with a total capacity of 4GW. CE and its local partner, the PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC), signed incorporation documents in November 2022 for the development of offshore wind service contracts in Ilocos Norte, northern Mindoro, and eastern Panay. The projects are estimated to generate power starting 2027 to 2031.

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim exchanged views with CEO Jasmin Bejdic on the development of national and local legal framework for offshore wind projects, conducive to the growth of the industry.

The Ambassador welcomed the company’s investment which is expected to generate employment for 58,000 workers. He encouraged CE to build linkages with technical and educational schools in PH to drive the demand for skills needed in the offshore wind industry. END
