Copenhagen, 20 January 20223 - PH Embassy and NNIT, one of the largest IT service providers in Denmark, discussed cooperation between the Philippines and Denmark in IT solutions.

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim exchanged views with CEO Pär Fors and CFO Carsten Ringius on the operations and near-term plans for expansion of NNIT in the Philippines.

The Ambassador welcomed NNIT’s decision to move its global delivery unit to the Philippines which beefed up its presence to 800 personnel dedicated to first and second lines of contact centers, including software development and SAP-related solutions.

He informed the company of PH sustainability efforts to cut carbon emissions and generate 50% of its power from renewable sources by 2040, including plans to establish pioneering offshore wind farms with Danish technology. He also encouraged NNIT to build linkages with local universities and colleges to develop a responsive curriculum for Filipino IT talents. END
