PH Embassy and Treesable, a startup aiming to develop a digital platform which verifies the accuracy and quality of forest projects, discussed forest conservation and tree monitoring in the Philippines.

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim and Treesable’s Marcel Tutor Ale and Charlotte Riddersholm exchanged views on the importance of traceability and community engagement in forest reporting.

The Ambassador underscored the value of Treesable’s work for the private sector, third party validators of carbon certificates and the government. He also encouraged the startup to explore a potential partnership with local indigenous groups in Mindanao and forest conservation volunteers.
