Copenhagen, 26 October 2022 - PH Embassy and Royal Danish Academy of Architecture, one of the leading architecture academies in Europe, discussed cooperation between the Philippines and Denmark in design and architecture.
Philippine Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim exchanged views with Jakob Brandtberg Knudsen, Dean of the Royal Academy of Architecture, on the promotion of PH-DK linkages on design, conservation and urban settlements.
The Ambassador welcomed Dean Knudsen’s profound knowledge on Filipino house design which became an inspiration to several of his projects in the Philippines including the Haiyan Project, one of Denmark’s entry to the 2016 Biennale, and other of his architectural works in Cebu province such as the Copenhagen Residences, Pacific House and the Northstar Condominium.
He also extended appreciation to the Royal Danish Academy for the recognition of Philippine firm WTA Architect and Design Studio’s Emergency Quarantine Facilities (EQF) which is part of the continuing BEHAVIOUR/WELFARE (Adfærd/Velfærd) Exhibition at Philip De Langes Allé 10 in Copenhagen.
