Copenhagen, 23 September 2022. The Philippine Embassy in Denmark hosted a reception for the Filipino community to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of Friendly Relations between the Philippines and Denmark on 23 September 2022 at the Asia House.
During the reception, Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim called for the community to collectively aspire for a strongly rooted, prosperous and unified Filipino society with respect for human dignity, justice and freedom, and highlighted the Philippines’ continued efforts in working with Denmark in pursuing our shared vision of sustainability and commitment to green and sustainable growth.
The Embassy showcased an artistic performance from Lahing Kayumanggi Dance Company, one of the leading and multi-awarded Philippine dance company in Europe, who performed seven (7) traditional dances from the Philippines, namely, Banga, Baile de Amor, Asik, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Subli, Binasuan and tinikling.
Guests were served a taste of the Philippines that have elements of the salty, the sweet and the sour. Most are fiesta favorites like lechon and pork humba, proudly served using top quality pork meat from Danish Crown and Filipino deserts like leche flan, buko pandan and bibingka.
