Copenhagen, 11 August 2022 - Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim, together with ASEAN Ambassadors based in Copenhagen, discuss the application of sustainable vertical farming technology with Nordic Harvest CEO Anders Riemann and the company’s executive management officials. Nordic Harvest, a cutting-edge data company, operates one of Europe’s largest organic vertical farms producing quality green vegetables entirely independent of weather conditions and with minimal or close to zero carbon emission.

Mr. Riemann shared Nordic Harvest’s mission to cut carbon emissions, mitigate deforestation and significantly lessen land use for food production. He said that his company’s innovative farming approach produces seven times more than conventional farming methods with only a third of water used.

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim encouraged Nordic Harvest to upscale soonest and build facilities in the Philippines and the ASEAN region, and avail of government incentives for green technology and sustainable farming.
