Copenhagen 15 June 2022 - PH Embassy and WB-IMO consultants, discuss updates on safety and energy efficiency of PH passenger ships.

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim and WB-IMO consultants from the World Maritime University, Professor Anish Hebbar and Captain Seyedvahid Vakili exchanged views on improving the safety of ferry operations in the Philippines, as well as the introduction of energy-efficient and less carbon-intensive technologies to the domestic shipping sector.

The Ambassador expressed support for the implementation of the WB-IMO project as shipping plays an important role in movement of goods and people and connecting the 7,461 islands of the country.
