The Department of Foreign Affairs is a member of the National Quincentennial Committee (NQC). The NQC was created through Executive Order No. 55 mandated as the Steering Committe of the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines with the theme "Victory and Humanity". On 14 December 2019, there will be simultaneous 500-day countdown to the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations highlighting 21 key landmarks in the Philippines.
