In national observance of the 2019 International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Day, the Department of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Department of National Defense (DND) as co-chair and the IHL Ad Hoc Committee, held the IHL Day on 9 September 2019.

This year's observance of the IHL Day also celebrates the milestone 70th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions.
