By the time polls closed at 1pm on Monday (7pm in Manila) in the polling station at the Embassy in Denmark, 716 Filipinos exercised their right of suffrage, accounting for 63.6 percent of 1,125 voters registered in Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland.
"It was a historic moment for the Philippine Embassy in Denmark to hold the first overseas elections here. I am delighted that overseas Filipinos came out in large numbers reflecting a turnout of more than 63% of the total registered voters, one of the highest in Europe. I wish to thank the Filipino community as well as the poll watchers and accredited media organizations who came to observe the conduct of the manual voting at the Embassy chancery. All of you honored the traditions of democracy." said Philippine Ambassador to Denmark Leo M. Herrera-Lim.
The Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) of the Philippine Embassy in Denmark, chaired by Ambassador Herrera-Lim, successfully transmitted to COMELEC the canvassed election returns from the two precincts of the Embassy on 10 May at 7:53 a.m
Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. garnered 61.8% of the total votes cast; while Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo came in second with 30% of the votes cast. In the race for Vice-President, Sara Duterte Carpio received 66.6% of the total votes cast, while Francis Pangilinan ranked second after receiving 24.5% of the votes.
