28 April 2022, Copenhagen - Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim congratulates Danish firm COWI for the inauguration of the longest and tallest bridge of the Philippines - the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX). COWI served as the owner's engineer for the project's developer Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation.

Led by President Rodrigo Duterte, Ambassador Herrera-Lim and COWI Vice President Tina Vejrum witnessed the opening of the 8.9-kilometer CCLEX.

The iconic bridge, built by Filipinos with Danish engineering and design, is expected to serve at least 50,000 vehicles daily between Cebu City and Mactan. It will support connectivity in Metro Cebu and help spur economic growth and trade in the province.
