Copenhagen, 28 March 2022 - PH Embassy and CP Kelco, a producer of carrageenan products, discuss plans to increase production and export of seaweeds to Denmark

Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim and CP Kelco's Senior Product Manager for Carrageenan, Thomas Worm, exchanged views on expanding the capacity of the Philippines to produce food-grade carrageenan. CP Kelco imported more than USD 5.6 million worth of seaweeds from the PH in 2021 and it plans to increase its import volume up to 50% in 2022.
