Copenhagen, 2 February 2022 - Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim met with a group of Filipino business professionals based in Denmark last January 29. Among the attendees were consultants from the Big Four accounting firms, established banks, and leading companies on shipping and renewable energy.

In his remarks, Ambassador Herrera-Lim encouraged the Filipino professionals to work together and continue upholding the good image of Filipino talent in their workplaces. In line with continuing efforts to promote closer ties with Denmark, he shared that the Embassy is working on the accreditation of Filipino professionals in healthcare and various sectors.

He stated that the Philippines attaches great importance to people-to-people ties with Denmark and that the presence of a growing number of Filipinos engaged in various professions in the country strengthen goodwill and understanding between the Filipinos and Danes.

Ambassador Herrera-Lim also shared that the Embassy is continuously promoting enhanced trade relations with Denmark evident in stronger Philippine exports to the country which grew by more than 300% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021.

The Embassy’s participation in the event is part of its efforts to establish and maintain links with both Filipino and Danish communities from a wide range of fields including academia, arts, business and culture. END
