The Philippine Embassy in Denmark composed of Vice Consul Al-Bari B. Macalawan, Mr. Jose Mari M. Fedelicio, Ms. Caroline B. Rubas, Mr. Rodelio O. Inventor, Ms. Starlet T. De Asis, and Ms. Sarah B. Correa-Bolo successfully conducted a consular outreach program from 04-05 December 2021 in Vejle, Denmark.

The ninth largest city in Denmark, Vejle is located in the southeast of the Jutland peninsula and is known for its forested hills, fjord, harbour, shopping, pedestrian mall, and windmill.

In fact, the word "Vejle" is derived from an old Danish word wæthel, meaning "ford" or "wading place" due to its location at a busy crossing over Vejle River.
