The Philippine Embassy in Denmark met with leading engineering consulting group COWI to discuss continuing infrastructure investment opportunities in the Philippines. Ambassador Leo Herrera-Lim conveyed to COWI Senior Vice President Jotham Vizard and Vice President Tina Vejrum that PH is accelerating its infrastructure spending and that this is likely to continue in the next few years to address challenges and gaps in PH public infrastructure. Currently, COWI is part of two flagship infrastructure projects in PH – the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) and the Malolos-Clark Railway. COWI is the owner’s Engineer of CCLEX being built by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation. The expressway, which is estimated to cost 30 billion pesos, will connect Metro Cebu to Mactan Island through the municipality of Cordova.
