COPENHAGEN 3 June 2021 – There is growing interest on the Philippines as destination of trade and investments.

The Philippine Embassy in Denmark, the Royal Danish Embassy in Manila and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) hosted the virtual session on Business Opportunities in the Philippines on 3 June 2021, promoting the Philippines as an ‘’ideal investment location’’ for Danish businesses interested to enter the Philippine market and for those who plan to expand their presence in the country.

The forum featured senior Philippine economic team manager DTI Undersecretary Ceferino S. Rodolfo, and BOI Agribusiness and Energy experts Francis Peñaflor and Dennis Panga, who provided updates on the current economic landscape in the Philippines, new economic measures and incentives for the recovery of the local economy and investment opportunities. Undersecretary Rodolfo delivered the keynote presentation on Philippine-Danish trade relations, CREATE law and how Danish companies can take full measure of the Philippine’s strengths in market access, skilled labor pool, English proficiency and strong protection of intellectual property rights.

Executives from Maersk and Lionheart Farms provided testimonials of their business experiences in the Philippines contributed to their corporate success and leading market positions.

The investment forum was attended by more than a hundred Denmark and Philippine-based business leaders representing enterprises, manufacturing companies, business organizations, MSMEs and chambers of commerce. It is one of the programmed activities to celebrate the 75th year of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Denmark. END
