Ambassador Leo M. Herrera-Lim welcomes the second batch of 167 Filipino seafarers in Denmark on 13 August 2020. This follows the first batch of 190 seafarers who arrived in the country on 4 August 2020.

The Philippine Embassy acknowledges the crucial role of Filipino seafarers in world trade and commerce, and exerts all efforts to assist them in safely boarding their vessels especially during the current pandemic.

It also continues to conduct dialogue with Maersk (the largest shipping company in the world) for best practices in green lanes for seafarers (quarantine before departure /upon arrival in Manila, testings before departure/upon arrival, etc.).
